The “LIBERIA AGRICULTURE for NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (LAND)”
The Liberia Agriculture for National Development (LAND) was established in 2018 as a non-for-profit agriculture organization (NGO) registered with the National Government, with focus in the agriculture sectors of Liberia. The organization was specifically created to serve as a medium through which women, men and young people can have access to job opportunities and contribute to national development through agriculture.
According to the World Bank collection of development indicators report in 2020, the agriculture sectors was estimated to employ over 43.04 % Of the entire labor force, while its contribution to the GDP will only be around 38.8%.
This moved is intended to help national government’s fight in minimizing the huge unemployment rate the country is presently faced with and to create an avenue where the country can become food self-sufficient. LAND has the so-purpose of giving hope to the hopeless and improving the well-being of its citizens from poverty to prosperity.
